Shelters, TNR, & Rescue Partners

Paws First Mobile Veterinary Clinic is proud to partner with animal shelters, TNR groups, and dog and cat rescue organizations by providing accessible, reliable veterinary care where it’s needed most. Through mobile services such as wellness exams, vaccinations, spay and neuter support, and basic medical treatments, Paws First helps reduce overcrowding, improve animal health, and increase adoptability. By working collaboratively with rescue partners, the clinic supports lifesaving efforts, streamlines care, and helps ensure more animals receive the quality veterinary services they deserve.

Wellness Exams

We'll provide a comprehensive health check designed to keep pets healthy and catch potential issues early. During the exam, Dr. Guy performs a nose-to-tail physical assessment, checking the eyes, ears, mouth, skin, coat, heart, lungs, abdomen, joints, and overall body condition. The visit also includes recommendations for vaccinations, parasite prevention, and any needed diagnostic testing to support long-term health and well-being.

Vaccinations

Vaccinations for dogs and cats protect against serious, often life-threatening diseases and help keep both pets and the community safe. Core vaccines for dogs may include rabies, distemper, parvovirus, leptospirosis, and adenovirus, while cats typically receive rabies and the FVRCP vaccine, which protects against feline viral rhinotracheitis, calicivirus, and panleukopenia. Non-core vaccines, such as Bordetella, Lyme, canine influenza, and feline leukemia (FeLV), may be recommended based on a pet’s lifestyle, environment, and exposure risk. Keeping pets up to date on vaccinations helps prevent disease outbreaks, reduces the spread of illness, and ensures pets stay healthy and protected throughout their lives.

Spay & Neuter Support

Paws First can play a vital role in supporting rescue partners through spay and neuter services that help control pet overpopulation and improve overall animal welfare. By providing accessible surgical support and guidance, she helps shelters and rescue groups reduce unwanted litters, ease overcrowding, and focus resources on animals already in need. Spaying and neutering also offer important health and behavioral benefits for dogs and cats, making them healthier, calmer, and more adoptable, while strengthening the long-term impact of rescue and lifesaving efforts.
